Eastman AR803CE-16 Archtop Guitar - USED

This guitar is a brand new instrument that is being sold as used due to a slight finish blemish on the headstock.

This guitar in the 803 series from Eastman is a great medium between a full-depth archtop and thinline guitar. The slightly reduced body depth and set pickup will reduce feedback while still maintaining a thick, warm archtop tone. This one has a fantastic burst, and the grain detail appears three dimensional on the darker outer portions of the body. Paired with an Evans RE200 combo amp, I was able to acheive a warm, harmonically rich tone that is a remarkably accurate representation of the acoustic character of the instrument. This tone does not suffer at higher volumes, in fact the Kent Armstrong humbucker seems to perform most dynamically when set around 7 or 8, making this guitar a great tool for group playing as well as solo performance. 

We are offering this guitar at a discount because there are some finish blemishes around the tuners, as shown in one of the pictures provided.  Call Sound Pure for more details.  The blem is only cosmetic and barely noticeable.

Eastman Uptown professional archtop guitars are each carved entirely by hand. The solid maple back and sides and solid aged spruce top are complimented by a 3-piece maple neck with a solid ebony fingerboard. All Eastman guitars feature X-style bracing. Heavy-duty tuners, a classically designed tailpiece, and a J.W. Eastman fiberglass case all come standard. Available in several finishes.
